2 Months Old!

I am sorry I haven't posted in a little while! Our little girl is already 2 months old! We can't even believe it! Here are a few pictures we took recently. I hope that everything at school is going well! I plan to make a visit with Lyla very soon!

Welcome, Jacob!

Mrs. Rolek had her baby! Jacob Allan was born one week ago (September 14th) and weighed 8 lbs. 9 oz. He is so perfect!

It was really hard to get a good picture of two such little ones! I am not sure how parents of twins get good pictures! This is Lyla and her buddy, Jacob!

I have been bad about posting pictures! Here are a few from recently...

We woke up this particular morning to a little girl that had broken free from her swaddle blanket and taken off her hat! :)
My brother, Andrew, gave Lyla her first Vikings gear. Even though many people were crying AFTER the game, this was taken BEFORE the game.

Lyla is ONE MONTH OLD!!!

Today is Lyla's one month birthday! It has been a big week for her! It is weird to think that my due date was this past Monday...we were supposed to just be getting to know this little girl, and she is already such a part of our family.

She had her first bottle this week! Jim loves to be able to feed her!

We have had a wonderful two and a half weeks with Lyla! She's already growing up so quickly!

This is our first family walk. Twix and I LOVED all the company. :) Lyla's first "tummy time" was filled with lots of grunting, kicking, and farting! She was working so hard!

On Thursday night, Lyla lost her umbilical cord and now has a nice little belly button in its place!

When she was born, Lyla weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz. When she left the hospital, she was a solid 6 lbs. We had her into the doctor at about two weeks old, and she was already weighing 7 lbs. 4 oz.!!!! She is a growing girl, for sure!

Getting Settled.

We have loved being home and getting settled in! Here are some pictures we have taken since leaving the hospital. I feel like she is changing so much already!

Twix has been a WONDERFUL big sister! She handles the crying in stride, and she is very calm around Lyla.

One week ago, we brought Lyla home!!! It was a wonderful feeling!

Our original due date was August 30th. My brother and sister-in-law that live in Arizona were expecting their second child (a girl!) with a due date of August 21st. We were so excited to know that the two girls would be so close in age.

Obviously, Lyla coming early was a BIG surprise! WELL, on Friday, August 6th (the day we came home), Elisabeth went into labor, and Lyla's cousin was born not even 48 hours after she was!!! Her name is Hollan Sara, and she is just perfect! Evan has been an AWESOME big brother...and she looks JUST like he did when he was born.

We are anxious for a time when we can have everyone all together! Such exciting times for our family!!!

SURPRISE!!!

SHE'S HERE!!! On August 4th at 4:43pm, we welcomed Lyla Margaret into this world! At 3.5 weeks early, we were pleased to learn that she weighed 6lbs. 6oz. and was 20in. long! She has a TON of hair and is just wonderful! We can't wait for all of you to meet her! Here is a small sampling of the MILLIONS of pictures we have already taken! I will post more at a later date! We are SO in love and doing well! I hope you are enjoying your August!
